We've made it through our first weekend without too much trouble and we're coming at you with another stability patch targeted at fixing issues with extra credit activities and lesson flashcards.

System

General

• Fixed an issue where the system would behave strangely if the user's time zone was not set. All non-set time zones have been set to UTC.Please update your time zone to prevent strange behavior from occurring.

Extra Credit

• Made it so that you can click on the extra credit circles in the Today's Studies card to go directly to that activity.
• Fixed an issue where the system would not show you your star if you went above and beyond with extra credit
• Fixed an issue where the time from Native Materials and Speaking Practice would not fully count towards your study time (our AFK detection kicks in after 5 minutes, it has been disabled on these pages)
• Fixed an issue where the system would show you the extra credit progress of other users in addition to your own.

Flashcards

• Adjusted the behavior of lesson flashcards - they are now set to appear at the start of your next study day rather than 24 hours after completing the lesson.Settings
• Fixed an issue preventing notification settings from behaving as expected.
• Fixed an issue where the gender symbols were swapped in the flashcard settings.
• Fixed an issue preventing users from selecting the 6-year or 8-year pace under certain circumstances.

Content

• Fixed a few typos that students found.
• Wrote and edited Phase Two lessons. Several of them are essentially ready to publish! But we'll be releasing them with the full units.
• Reviewed lesson & content suggestions from students, planned places some of them will appear in the study path.

Upcoming focus

We're beginning a new two week development sprint today. Our main focus will be on performance and stability improvements largely relating to audio and page loading.
