Hello everyone,

Today we have some performance improvements that will alleviate some of the time spent waiting for the phases and units to load. They will also slightly improve some other aspects of the site. We are working on fixing/tuning more things to alleviate load on the database as well as improve the overall speed of the site as well.

Thank you for your patience while we work out the kinks and adjust our hardware to account the recent influx of new users.

System

General Performance

• Optimized some of the code that is used in the system to figure out what a user's study day is as well as the user's progression status across the units.Kana Quiz/Test
• Fixed an issue where the system would incorrectly mark answers wrong if they were not all lowercase.

Content

Typos / content changes

• Fixed missing highlighting on 小説 vocab flashcard.
• Fixed missing highlighting on 聴く vocab flashcard.
• Fixed missing highlighting on ちょうだい vocab flashcard.
• Fixed capitalization on 韓 "Korea" kanji flashcard meaning, which was not capitalized.
• Added a definition to 失くす, which was missing. This fixes both the kanji and vocab flashcard.
• Fixed capitalization on 日 "Japan (abbr.)" kanji flashcard meaning, which was not capitalized.

Audio

• Fixed missing audio on 旅行はどうでしたか？ lesson flashcard.
• Fixed missing audio and an incorrect reading of 時 in "うーん…仕事が５時半までだから…６時はどう？" lesson card.
